Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.
A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
