Trump's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
This young athlete boasts substantial social media audience
The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to play and have fun," she continued.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and has ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to wider groups, especially reaching younger fans.
Kai boasts substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
