The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to players developing strong views on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very similar to a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often getting absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
