The Gory Cartoon Movie Ending That Haunts Audiences

Among all the adult-oriented animated films I have ever viewed, no other has remained with me quite like the terror-laced ending of a viscerally violent as well as deeply subversive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, the Spain-based filmmaker created a dark, somber and often savage world with some tiny , desolate twinges of hope.

While The Unicorn Wars feels like it came from a drive to push animation even more, the director stated that it was rather an effort to convey a global, multicultural message regarding “the common origin of all wars.”

That message is communicated through a band of brightly hued teddy bears , obviously modeled after a popular line of lovable characters.

Maturing in a culture centered on militarism as well as the defense industry, many of these creatures are fixated on killing unicorns, due to a holy book which states the bears they used to be masters of the woodland, before these creatures expelled them.

A few did not entirely accepted the propaganda, and would rather experiment with narcotics or fornicate outdoors.

In contrast to their friendly counterparts, these bright beings display sexual organs and obvious sex drives.

For a particular particularly cruel, skeptical animal, Bluey, the conflict against unicorns transforms into a path to power — and particularly to supremacy above his softer, nicer brother Tubby.

The character behaves aggressively and an obvious psychopath , and while fear overcomes his group and claims his comrades individually, he takes progressively control on his own behalf, via progressively gory, harmful methods.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are experiencing their own terror, in the form of an expanding, harmful creature in their habitat.

“In the early stages, it feels like a lighthearted film,” the director commented. “However it becomes a more intense and sorrowful film. And ultimately, it transforms into a scary feature.”

The Unicorn Wars commences resembling one of the more playful movies by an iconic animator, that discover a naughty glee in letting drawn beings swear, fire weapons, or have intimate relations.

Afterward it evolves into closer to a bleaker work by that same director, with increasingly explicit brutality , a palpable link to genuine tragedy of battle.

In the finale, it’s a full-on Grand Guignol massacre.

The horror which makes this a Halloween-friendly viewing begins well before than one might expect.

The Unicorn Wars is ideal for the hardcore lovers of violence, for lovers of intense movies who wish to watch a film they haven’t ever viewed until now, and who can handle a narrative that offers unflinching brutality.

Watch it with the lights off without any distractions, and that ending will dig deep within you and stay with you.
