Former British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Participate in MPs' Grilling Following Claims of Partiality in Leaked Document

Former British Broadcasting Corporation advisers testifying before parliamentary committee

We start with queries from Tory Member of Parliament Caroline Dinenage, who oversees the committee.

She opens by giving details to the leaked document written by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning this way or that way, I just want it balanced, fair and just," he states.

Upon being questioned if he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is institutionally biased, the adviser answers: "Absolutely not. It is important to note, tons of stuff the BBC does is world class - encompassing documentary and entertainment content."

But he adds: "There remains substantial tasks that requires attention at the BBC."

Another previous consultant BBC specialist interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation with great importance and that it maintains a "persistent practice and lively discussion" across dynamic and complex subjects.

"Whether the BBC was prepared to have a proper discussion and exchange and take action?" she questions. "From my perspective, yes they were."
