Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order issued a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals expressed divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing controversial claims that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors last week. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide ought to have acted when the impulse to speak on the death was made.
